Administration

You and your participants have online access to the benefit plans. All of your due diligence and carrier reports, accounting entries, policy values, and more are available online in a secure, SOC 1 certified portal.

Modern Capital Executive Solutions engages the law firm of L.W. Cooper Law Office to represent client interests to state and federal regulatory agencies. The firm maintains direct relationships with these agencies and are frequent speakers at regulator events.

Our History

Modern Capital Executive Solution’s history of consulting on key personnel retention/reward programs, as well as investment & expense mitigation, extends more than twenty years.

Founded in 2000, Rethink, LLC managed the operations of insurance and investment companies for a decade before creating its own investment advisory, broker dealer and risk management businesses. Today Rethink operates under Modern Capital Inc, managing two FINRA registered broker dealers, a retail Registered Investment Advisor, an institutional Registered Investment Advisor and a full-service insurance agency. Further, the creation of Modern Capital Executive Solutions led to our specific focus/vision to specialize in developing executive benefit plans, as well as investment & expense mitigation, for the non-profit industry.

More specifically, we know there isn’t a secret sauce for designing executive solutions. Frankly, it’s a back-to basics approach—due diligence, compliance, and service—that outperforms all others. Throughout the many changes in the non-profit sector, our focus on safety and soundness has not changed. From design and implementation, to on-going servicing & administration, we carefully monitor your plans to ensure compliance and performance in the face of changing regulations and markets.

Our Team

Ryan is a Managing Partner and CEO of Modern Capital Executive Solutions in Boston, MA. As a former Senior Partner of Stearns Financial Group & Regional Vice President of BFB Gallagher, he is recognized as an industry expert regarding non-qualified deferred compensation
Ryan has worked with over 200 tax-exempt organizations with updating, enhancing, and designing their supplemental executive & key leadership member retention plans. A common theme across his consulting engagements, Ryan focuses on aligning data, relationships, and circumstances to drive mutually beneficial outcomes for both the organizations and individuals in question.
Ryan graduated from Tufts University in 2015 with a dual degree in Quantitative Econometrics and Entrepreneurship. At heart, Ryan is an entrepreneur that is driven by helping individuals in all aspects of his life.

Mike Miele is a managing partner and CMO of Modern Capital Executive Solutions. As a former Regional Vice President of BFB Gallagher and Development Analyst with Stearns Financial, Mike built and led strategic partnerships, helping both companies achieve a national footprint.
When it comes to his practice, Mike consults with nonprofit organizations on plan strategies and specializes in regulatory compliance matters, plan administration, and plan performance for non-qualified deferred compensation plans.
Mike has a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics and Entrepreneurial Leadership from Tufts University. Outside of the office Mike is extremely active and given the time of year, you can find him golfing, skiing, biking, and surfing. Sometimes his golden retriever named Maya joins in the fun too!

Mike Miele

Head of Business Development, CMO

Born in New York City and raised in Zurich, Switzerland, Kris developed and managed a macro currency trading platform to trade individual funds across currency and commodity markets, utilizing a systematic step trading approach to risk management.  Kris also served as Head of US Equity Allocation at UBS Investment Bank in Zurich for the specialist advisory team, where he developed and managed financial products for the Client Advisory portfolio.  Out of graduate school, Kris was employed at Deutsche Bank as a part of the Wealth Advisory Mandate team.
Kris received his bachelor’s degree in Business and Finance from the London Metropolitan University and his master’s Degree in Quantitative Finance from the University of Westminster, both in London, England.  Kris also served proudly in the United States Army where he achieved the rank of Lieutenant working in the areas of weapons and tactics for a Stryker Infantry Combat Brigade.

Mr. Royal brings a deep experience in accounting and finance to the firm from both the private sector and public accounting. Before joining Modern Capital, Mr. Royal was the Vice President of Project Finance for Southern Current, a sustainable energy solution services company in the private sector with nationwide clients, where he oversaw the financing of sustainable energy solutions from project development through engineering, construction, maintenance, financing and asset management.
Previously, Mr. Royall worked as Senior Manager at Elliott Davis, a public accounting firm which specializes in complex business issues, providing the full spectrum of services in the areas of tax, auditing, assurance and consulting. He also served as Chief Financial Officer at MassMutual South Carolina, overseeing all aspects of the firm’s operations and finances. When it comes to his practice, Mike consults with nonprofit organizations on plan strategies and specializes in regulatory compliance matters, plan administration, and plan performance for non-qualified deferred compensation plans.

Ed Royall

Alex Bebis specializes in the design, implementation, and monitoring of Supplemental Executive Retirement Plans for Non-Profit Organizations. More specifically for senior executives, directors, and other highly compensated individuals, which the organizations wish to retain and/or reward.
Before joining Modern Capital Executive Solutions, Alex served as an Advanced Case Design specialist for a large life insurer, where he developed life insurance-based solutions for high-net-worth individuals, geared toward executive compensation, tax efficiency, and estate planning.

Christy comes to Modern Capital Executive Solutions with 20 years of project management in the insurance industry. Her knowledge of contracting, licensing, commissions, and technology integration is providing our organization with transparency to better service our clients. As an experienced senior project manager with a demonstrated history of working in the financial services industry, Christy has a strong program and project management professional skilled in Business Process, Management, Healthcare, Life Insurance, and Business Process Improvement.
Christy received a BA in Finance and minor in Business Management from Valdosta University. Her passion for philanthropy is speared by her enthusiasm as a Lifetime member of Girl Scouts of USA. Christy is currently serving on the Board of Directors for the Girl Scouts of Gateway Council.
Christy is a native to Jacksonville and lives in Ponte Vedra Beach, FL with her husband Craig. Outside the office she enjoys playing Golf, traveling, being with their children and entertaining the multiple groups of friends and family.

Lindsey W. Cooper Jr. is the owner and founder of the Law Office of L.W. Cooper Jr., LLC.  His practice areas primarily focus on representing business entities and individuals in a variety of tax, corporate, transactional and other legal matters related to financially drive matters.  In addition, Mr. Cooper's clients seek assistance in tax controversies, tax litigation, and business litigation due to his service as a trial attorney with the U.S. Department of Justice, Tax Division.

Tiffany began her carrier in brokerage in 1997 when she started with BISYS (now Crump) where she quickly advanced as a team leader and mentor for junior underwriters. In 2006 she joined one of the largest privately owned brokerage firms as a Sr. Underwriting Director, where her focus was to collaborate with top advisors as well as training new underwriters, case managers and was heavily involved in agent recruit/sales meetings. In 2011 Tiffany joined IDA as a Sr. Underwriter to provide underwriting support and has been able to establish a solid partnership and successful track record within these organizations as well as with our carriers.
Tiffany is proficient in interpreting EKG's, financial underwriting and reviewing medical records to assess risk, finding hidden credits to ensure the best offer is found in the marketplace for each client. She has access to online carrier underwriting manuals to help guide us in the right direction when negotiating and placing our cases.
Tiffany is originally from Pittsburgh, PA and now resides in Tampa FL. She is an avid hockey fan, is an animal lover and enjoys tennis, running and golf. You will find her passionate about her career and loves the competitive nature of our business.

Director of Underwriting

Emily is the Case Manager for Modern Capital Executive Solutions. She started working in Insurance as an Intern for Kentucky Farm Bureau in 1996 and has worked in the Insurance Industry for the past 25 years. She has held both auto, property, and life & health licenses, working mostly with B2B Sales. As the Case Manager, Emily corresponds with the agents and carriers and makes sure that the process is as smooth as possible for everyone from application submission to placing cases In Force.
Emily received a BS in Sociology and Art from Campbellsville University in 2002. She resides in Ponte Vedra Florida with her husband and two children. Her main passions are Sea Turtle Conservation and Humanitarian Rights & Relief efforts.

Clay Estabrooke is a Regional Vice President at Modern Capital Executive Solutions. As a former financial advisor at Westpoint Financial Group, his practice focused on helping retail and institutional clients develop and implement strategies to meet their unique financial goals.
Clay supports the Executive Solutions team in developing business and strategic partnerships for nonprofit entities using non-qualified deferred compensations plans to recruit, retain, and reward key persons. He believes human capital is the most important asset on a company’s balance sheet.
Clay was born and raised in Chicago, IL and is a graduate of the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. He received a degree in Finance with a focus on international markets and derivatives. He now lives in Charleston, SC where he enjoys coaching hockey for the Jr Stingrays, golf, running, cooking, and spending time with his growing family.
